Screen Controls

The vKey program works like any standard Windows program. It displays simulated LEDs that correspond to the various lights on a regular wall mounted security keypad. The LEDs show the current status of the system.

Drop down menus provide easy access to functions that normally require remembering a sequence of keypad button presses. This eliminates the need to memorize a list of key sequences and allows the homeowner to get maximum use out of the system.

An on-screen scrollable activity log shows recent events. A full detail log suitable for review or printing is also available.

Names can be associated with user PINs so logs are more readable and it's easier to see who last armed or disarmed the system.

Zone names can be easily added through the computer keyboard which is much easier than creating through a keypad. Zones names can be longer than the built-in system limit.

Drop down menus also provide access to network features, so home or business owners can check or change the status of a security system remotely.
