MailServer/390 Perpetual License Price List

Effective January 1, 1998

MailServer/390 is made up of two components, the EMS Mail Client and the EMS SMTP Gateway. Software prices are based on current IBM CPU model group classification. Model group lists are available.

All software is licensed by CPU.

EMS - Mail Client

EMS provides you with all the basic services necessary to give your users electronic mail, including PC file transfers to and from the Host. EMS also provides a directory of users, a nickname facility, a message text-editor, and both batch and online APIs.

EMS SMTP Gateway

EMS SMTP Gateway provides you with both SMTP Internet email gateway and POP3 server, allowing access to Internet email, LAN based email systems, and email delivery to PC email clients as well as 3270 users.

Maintenance

Perpetual licenses include the first year of maintenance; maintenance charges are 15% of the current perpetual license price each year thereafter. Technical support and updates are included with maintenance.

Discounts

Educational discount - 25%.
Multi-site discount - 15%.
Multi-CPU discount - 25%.

Service Bureau License

Any service bureau who wishes to provide access to MailServer/390 to its customers, must obtain a Service Bureau License. The Service Bureau Licensed is priced at an additional 100% of the applicable model group price.

System Upgrades

If upgrading a CPU, the difference in fees will be charged.

Conversion

There is no charge for converting from one operating environment to another within the same model group.
